Graphics are worse than warships, but it still looks ok and I'll pick a more fun game over a game with better graphics any day. Load times on my four year old laptop (which meets warships' minimum requirements) are much faster every game I played so far I loaded in before it started. Map design is better too, I don't know why Wargaming is so bad at designing warships maps. Ship classes are better differentiated than in warships, though balance isn't perfect. The 'strategic thinking' in warships is pretty much limited to "go to spot X in ship class Y" and Steel Ocean has the same thing. It's still not a twitch game, about the same pace as world of tanks. In Steel Ocean you spend most of your time driving around and fighting, much less on waiting. It's not that warships is deeply strategic or whatever, you spend a lot of time just doing nothing. Warships games take 15 minutes because they're just slooooow. The gameplay is much better than warships.īeing faster is a good thing.
